Hi, my name is Yolanda Keith and I am the Program Coordinator for the Carolina College Advising Corps. It is hard to believe that many of us are already back in the swing of things with students on campus, while the rest of us are busy preparing for the year to begin in just a few days. We are so pleased to let you know that we will once again be expanding our program to serve more students with more advisers. I am happy to announce that during the 2011-2012 academic year, thanks to new funding opportunities, the Carolina College Advising Corps will expand to 29 advisers—available to more than 10,000 high school seniors—across our state.
Our advisers will be blogging about their experiences as they help students navigate the transition from high school to college. You will also have the opportunity to hear from some of our students, past and present, and colleagues in our partner high schools, as they share their experiences of working with an adviser and the impact it has had on them.
I invite you to take a front row seat to the world of College Access . . . and please, leave a comment!
