Ni-Eric Perkins

Ni-Eric Perkins is from Fayetteville, North Carolina.  He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s of Science Degree in Recreation and Sport Management from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Ni-Eric is an Associate Director in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he co-directs the First-Year and Evaluation Process.

Ni-Eric joins the Carolina College Advising Corps in an interim role, bringing with him over 13 years of higher education experience.  He has a passion for mentoring and strengthening educational access and affordability for underserved communities.


 

Brittany Watson

Brittany Watson is from Winston-Salem, NC. She has a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science Education from North Carolina Central University and a Master’s in Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

Prior to joining the Carolina College Advising Corps, Brittany held the role of Family and Consumer Science Teacher at Reagan High School in Forsyth County. Her passions are serving students with the hopes to utilize her experience to build a bridge between secondary and post-secondary institutions. She is excited to learn and grow in the world of Higher Education.


 

Kayla Quinn

Kayla Quinn is from the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania but has called North Carolina home since 2015. She has a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and is currently working on earning her Masters in Higher Education Administration at Appalachian State University.

Prior to joining the Carolina College Advising Corps team, Kayla worked as a Residence Director at Meredith College and as a full-time Camp Director for the Girl Scouts. Kayla is looking forward to combining her experience in higher education and non-profit management as she supports the professional and personal growth of both the advisers of CCAC and the students they serve.


 

Paul Abrahams

Paul Abrahams is from Enfield, North Carolina.  He has a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Africana Studies from North Carolina State University.  Prior to joining the Carolina College Advising Corps, Paul served as a high school Honors English II teacher at Henderson Collegiate High School in Vance County as well as a Learning, Wellness, & Success Coach at Halifax Community College.  Paul is passionate about continuing to advance the means to college access for disadvantaged youth and looks forward to empowering advisers as well.


 

Heather Jones

Scholarship and Financial Aid Coordinator, Carolina College Advising Corps

Heather Jones is from Knightdale, North Carolina. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Music from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Prior to her role as the Scholarship and Financial aid Coordinator, she served as the College Adviser at Fike High school in Wilson, NC, and a Music Instructor in Wake County. She has a passion for serving and working with students to provide college access, supporting them during the transition from high school to college, and retention. She looks forward to gaining experience in Higher Education while supporting advisers and their students.
