Ni-Eric Perkins

Ni-Eric Perkins is from Fayetteville, North Carolina.  He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s of Science Degree in Recreation and Sport Management from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Ni-Eric is an Associate Director in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he co-directs the First-Year and Evaluation Process.

Ni-Eric joins the Carolina College Advising Corps bringing with him over 13 years of higher education experience.  He has a passion for mentoring and strengthening educational access and affordability for underserved communities.


 

Brittany W.Johnson

Brittany W. Johnson is from Winston-Salem, NC. She has a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science Education from North Carolina Central University and a Master’s in Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

Prior to joining the Carolina College Advising Corps, Brittany held the role of Family and Consumer Science Teacher at Reagan High School in Forsyth County. Her passions are serving students with the hopes to utilize her experience to build a bridge between secondary and post-secondary institutions. She is excited to learn and grow in the world of Higher Education.


 

Paul Abrahams

Paul Abrahams is from Enfield, North Carolina.  He has a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Africana Studies from North Carolina State University.  Prior to joining the Carolina College Advising Corps, Paul served as a high school Honors English II teacher at Henderson Collegiate High School in Vance County as well as a Learning, Wellness, & Success Coach at Halifax Community College.  Paul is passionate about continuing to advance the means to college access for disadvantaged youth and looks forward to empowering advisers as well.


 

Heather Jones

Heather Jones is from Knightdale, North Carolina. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Music from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Higher Education: Community College and University Leadership at Appalachian State University.

Prior to her role as Assistant Director, she served as the Scholarship and Financial Aid Coordinator for CCAC and a College Adviser at Fike High school in Wilson, NC. She has a passion for serving and working with students to provide college access, supporting them during the transition from high school to college, and retention. She looks forward to gaining experience in Higher Education while supporting advisers and their students.
